Crack Festival was the premiere event in Germany. The famous crack climbers and YouTubers Wide Boyz, world-known climber Jernej Kruder and others have teamed up to bring the extremely successful Crack Fest event from England to Dortmund (Boulderwelt)!
This time it was one step further: we didn’t just have one day of Crack Fest with Pete Whittaker and Tom Randall – no, we have been treating ourselves to a whole weekend and turned the event into a festival!
It was tons of fun and all about crack climbing in all its various forms and dimensions.
There was something for everyone, not just for professionals, but for those at Boulder World Level 3-4 (fb scale 4c upwards).
All attendees gained a lot of new technical inputs from the Wide Boyz and our other sponsors during the workshops and clinics, even for crack climbing beginners!
There was also a playful competition with great fun elements at the Crack Fest and additional challenges with fantastic prizes.
Jernej Kruder said: “Crackfest was really a unique festival. It surprises me how many people are interested in crack climbing in general. All the workshops were fully booked, and people were absorbing knowledge more than I’m used to.”
